Great spot, just one of those really good places to visit, have a good meal, enjoy good service and a friendly atmosphere. The lake perch is great! Chowder is excellent. Can't go wrong. I sat at the bar, watched the Masters golf tournament, had a great meal and relaxed, what more can you ask for.

Casey's was good. They have a very nice patio in back and what looks to be a nice indoor seating area. We went for lunch on a Saturday (late afternoon). We were seated immediately and the server was promptly at our table. I order a burger with sweet potato fries. I added mushrooms and provolone ($.75/ea add-on). The fries were waffle cut and were delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly (med-well) and tasted great. The bathroom was clean and working, which is always good. All in all, this is a good place to eat a late lunch. Dinner time review (8 PM arrival): Due to the shortage of restaurants in this area, dinner time tends to get insanely crowded everywhere. We stopped back for dinner and witnessed pure chaos...and were never seated. Outdoor seating was 45-60 min wait; indoor was 15-25 min. We had some drinks and waited 45 min with no sign of being seated. People were coming in and complaining because they had reservations and were not being seated. Another group was told their table was ready 3 times, but then had to sit back down when that was not true. The host offered them free appetizers for the issue. Be ware if you visit Casey's for dinner.

Had the perch and the BEST clam chowder I've ever had. It was closed last time I was there. Glad to see it back open. The Unknown Diner digs it!
(4)David C.
Steak salad good, artichoke and red wine vinegar really made it. Lake perch excellent. Steak Sandwich was average, have had a better one here. Portobello wrap was good but not amazing. Ambiance was great!

This is my FAVORITE place to eat in New Buffalo!! I love the very welcoming atmosphere that I always receive when I am there. Their food is outstanding as is their drinks. Loved watching my beloved Blackhawks games there with other local fans. The owner Tom is always so friendly and greets you by name (love his laugh)! Beautiful outdoor area in the summer! Would rather go here than anywhere else!
(5)Mark D.
This is a restaurant plagued by a pretty classic issue that kills the appeal of certain restaurants... Good food but service that can make the best steak around seem as appealing as a cold plain hot dog.

Soup was sent back 3 times and thy still made us pay. Also our lunches did not come together . Horrible service

I came here for dinner on a Saturday night in July. I was with a group of four other friends and we did not plan ahead. We had no dinner reservations and figured we'd just wander from our hotel (the Marina Grand) into town and see what looked good. We went to dinner around 7:45/8 and it was PACKED. There was an hour wait here and a longer wait at Brewster's down the street, so, not wanting to walk any more (some of us get cranky when we don't eat in a timely fashion), we decided to wait it out at Casey's. We finally sat down around 9:15 as the band was setting up inside. From my understanding, the band was supposed to play outside, but it was raining on and off, so they moved indoors. I don't mind live music with my dinner, but the band was SO loud. The acoustics for an indoor performance were way off. The food was just so-so, nothing great. I definitely would not go out of my way to come back. HOWEVER, the people-watching when we were there was fantastic, so for the people-watching alone, I might consider going back...

I started to give this 2-stars at the beginning, but switched to 3-stars because Casey's can serve a purpose--it's just not food. Everything we ate tasted like it was previously frozen. We started with the Chicken and Chorizo Quesadilla; I like spice, but this had such an odd kick to it, the taste was off and then it completely overtook the rest of the ingredients. Entrees - one was Salmon which was pretty bland and the other was the Caribbean Shrimp & Scallops, which I was not expecting to be a pasta dish since it was listed under entrees and not pasta. It had a nice spice to it, but that was it. Spicing something up doesn't make it flavorful. They need to condense this menu to help the kitchen focus on a few, key dishes that taste great. I also think it's too pricey for the current quality. What I like about Caseys--the outdoor patio and bar. If you're looking to have a few drinks in a casual environment, this is a great place. I've also always found the service pleasant. We went there several times in the winter to watch sports and have some drinks and always enjoyed ourselves. So we will probably go back there again, just not for food.
(3)Jim T.
Ask for Tony as he was great as a waiter. the food was fresh, the hostesses were cute, but not to knowledgeable on the food items. The bussers were trying to impress the 2 hostesses, therefore the entertainment was good. I will be back.
(4)Anthony P.
Well, there aren't *that* many places in town to eat, and we already tried the Stray Dog, so we figured we would give this place a try. We got a great first impression: the maître d' couldn't have been more pleasant; all smiles, and it actually felt sincere. The food itself was just fine, but nothing that blew us away. We had some wine and pasta dishes. The mussels made for a good appetizer. Nothing memorable, but not bad. I would return because it was good enough, and I enjoy the beach-having area as a whole.
(3)Jerry C.
Had dinner on a Friday night.....was busy, but got a table quickly. Was a very lively atmosphere and our server , Sylvia, was great. Had the lake perch and it was yummie.
(4)Craig W.
Where do I begin? We were a party of 6. The salad came quick but was just weeds. The clam chowder was watered down white liquid with a couple of potatoes in it. Then we waited and waited and waited. One hour went by and no food came. Our waiter kept apologizing but he said our food was coming out. Another 15 minutes and nothing. Finally the manager came by and basically said he's sorry but the kitchen had a melt down but there's nothing he can do. He said he could start the order but it would be another 40 minutes. He didn't even suggest that he could get us some food that would be quicker. He said there were 2 chicken dinners available. Our waiter said he wouldn't want to serve those to us because they were sitting in the kitchen for over half an hour. The manager brought the 2 plates if chicken with cold vegetables and potatoes. I guess he figured that was better than nothing. So the 6 of us gobbled up the chicken they gave us and that was the end of our service. The manager never came back after that. The manager said he wouldn't charge us anything but big deal we hardly got anything. We left the waiter a generous tip because it wasn't his fault. The manager was really very unprofessional. He had no clue how to handle our situation.

Eat outside. Nothing better in Harbour Country!

Caseys is now CLOSED. Something to do with owing back taxes, partnership disagreements, and the bank locked the doors. Heard a rumor they may re-open in the Summer of 2013 under new ownership and name.

Decided to stop in here for lunch during a little getaway at the end of August pre-Labor Day weekend. It wasn't overly crowded at lunch and the ac was on chill for the inside seating, but who can say no to outdoor seating during the late summer? They have a nice little outdoor patio area with a bar and the ambience was rather nice and quiet. Our server was prompt and had great suggestions to help us decide between the prime rib sandwich and other options. I went with the prime rib sandwich, which is served open face, and the wild rice pilaf as my side. The food was cooked perfectly and the wild rice pilaf was a great compliment to the sandwich. A few good beers helped make lunch a great experience and definitely will bring me back on my next visit.
(4)George P.
Great food. Great atmosphere.Specials are always tasty. Usually have great music on the weekends. I would give it 5 stars but I can't stand seeing half the staff working their behinds off, while the other half stands around texting or appearing to be busy. Overall this place rocks. If your in New Buffalo, stop by.
(4)Robert C.
Visited on 07/20/2013. Server: Bobbie Jo B. Lake Perch entrees were good, just wish the serving size was larger. Caprese Salads were okay. Good Service.
(4)Steven M.
I forgot to look at my review from the last time I was here. I should have gone to the stray dog. Lame-o-rama!
(2)Mike K.
Casey's is a bar/restaurant on the strip in New Buffalo. I love the long bar itself and the great beers on tap (Bell's included). I'd give it five stars as far as the bar goes. The restaurant I would say is above average - burgers, steaks, chops and plenty of fishies. I do prefer Casey's for the bar experience over the restaurant experience though. I found myself in for drinks twice and once for grub the last time I was in New Buffalo. The clientele at Casey's includes plenty of locals, skewing towards a more mature crowd, as well as weekenders from the city. The last time I was in Casey's for drinks, I got the stink eye from three older yocals at the bar, for whatever reason. I suppose they knew I was from the city. Maybe they thought I was too pretty? Who knows? There were no incidents other than a wry smile and a smart ass cough in my column. And I had the hot chick anyway. Victory. Damn tourists. Four stars.
(4)Taryn T.
Never in my life have I seen so many old people groping each other and sucking face so openly - and this is coming from someone who lives near Chicago's Viagra Triangle. Come for the (average) food, stay for the people watching!
(3)Paige C.
bar food nothing new good beers slow waiter forgot rings lake perch was ok I don't really know what is stellar in New Buffalo, but we just came here because lake perch was on the menu, and it was pretty good. Yeah, it was alright. Go for the perch sandwich and save a buck over the platter. They actually had a pretty good beer selection in my opinion. Our waiter was pretty slow (even though he seemed stressed running back and forth) and forgot our onion rings... It didn't seem that busy, but maybe they were short handed. Seemed like an ok place to watch the ND game (boooo) and have a decent beer.
(3)Monica F.
Went in for a drink and a quick bite. Waited at the bar for 12 minutes and no one came to wait on me! I didn't see any staff at all actually. I ended up leaving. Very disappointed.
(1)T L.
Enjoyed a Guinness on draft - that was good. Ordered a burger w/ blue cheese and a side of fruit. Asker the waiter what the fruit was and he said it had pineapple. Also told him NO PICKLE ANYWHERE ON PLATE. Food arrived and contained 3 pickles and no pineapple. To top it off the pickles were touching 1/2 of my burger and the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion) and apparently the kitchen staff plucked the non-pineapple containing fruit mix with their pickle soaked hands - as the fruit tasted like it was soaking in pickle juice. Needless to say - I enjoyed the draft beer and was forced to practice portion control as I despise all things pickled.
(2)Pamela C.
This review is for drinks only....the menu wasn't my mostly vegetarian forte. Excellent spot for cocktails and music on the outdoor patio (in spite of the mosquitoes that devoured my entire body...beware). Lots of locals and out of towners. Great wine selection. Fast and friendly service.
(4)Xamyma O.
Check my other reviews, I've been to multiple establishments over SW MI for years now. This is the mainstay, or anchor, bar/restaurant on the New Buffalo strip whether you like it or not, and believe me I don't really like it all that much. Bar beats the restaurant, has a quality long wooden bar when you walk in, which I am sure looks real homey/Irish-style to all the FIPS that mob it in the summer. Only 2 tvs, mounted up high at the ends make for difficult game watching. Good beer selection. Food quality is a little above Fridays and that's about it. Patio, blah blah. It's no wonder the locals get hostile sometimes because you truly get the extreme Illinois a------- coming in here. I once had a Scottish guy from Oak Park go ballistic on me for talking to his wife, OMG, chill the f out you lunatic, we're in a beach town. If you want to experience this place for what it really is, and nothing else, come in winter. In fact, that holds true for the majority of southwest Michigan.
(3)Lawrence P.
Good food, had a band playing on Saturday night... Favorite place in this town.
(4)Samantha S.
Staffs awesome, management is horrible.
(1)Bob C.
Great service - food was mediocre. Dry dry burger.
(2)Andrew M.
Since this was a great weekend in SW Michigan in all, I wanted to rate this place higher and looked for so many ways to do so but it often came up short. First off we sat down on a Monday night at 8pm and there were not that many diners around. That said the service was slow. The coffe was cold and when a member of our group ordered a Southern Comfort withe Sweet Vermuth she got a scotch... I explained that to the waiter and he had no problem with that but it appeared the bartender did - I drink scotch so I know what was served. Our food was fantastic but the Merlot I asked for with my strip steak never showed up. My wife also requested no olives on her meal and yup - there they were. Now normally I would give this place 2 stars but everyone enjoyed their food and the waiter did come out with a huge slice of chocolate cake - a reprise for the mistakes made earlier - kudos to him. We'd go back but we'll also try the Stray Dog and Roadhouse before hand.
(3)David N.
My wife an I ate here for dinner while staying in new buffalo. It wasn't too expensive and the food was pretty good. Service was good too. The bar where we sat was noisy but it still had a nice atmosphere. Some other reviews were somewhat critical but if you are not expecting a 5 star restaurant and just want a good meal in a nice place this place will do the trick.
(3)Moe f.
Had dinner out in the patio and it was nice. Went with the perch and a steak. Everything was decent and the price was right. And Oberon's were only $4! And later into the evening they had this amazing bluesy, funky, R&B band Impact& playing.
(4)C W.
Great downtown location and I really like the bar. It's a friendly place to have some drinks and maybe catch a game. But the food just isn't very good. Better choices in the area.
(2)Kathryn H.
I did not eat here because I already had lunch at The Stray Dog across the street. It was lame so we left and had some drinks here. Not much say other than the bartender was very nice.
(3)Jessica B.
meh is right. pretty standard bar with sub-standard bar food. there aren't many options for food in new buffalo so i understand people's attraction to this place but you'd probably be better off eating before you get to new buffalo rather than trying to grab something here.
(2)C Y.
We went to this old-fasioned restaurant before a rock concert just outside. Some foods were better than others but overall, the food was fairly decent. My chicken alfredo was one of the decent foods on the menu. What I think is one of the better foods on the menu is the clam chowder. Everything here was o.k. Nothing was great, and nothing was bad.
(3)Dennis G.
Great food friendly people super bartenders.
(5)Sean Y.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service! Love the backyard outdoor seating as well as the indoor seating. The tortellini with sun-dried tomato cream sauce and chicken is excellent!
(4)Don M.
Evryone said choose the perch it is the best. Well I wanted the pork chops. They smelled good coming out and I was not disappointed. They were tender and were seasoned just right, i added some sauteed onions and they hit the spot. Everybody else were not as impressed with there choices. Down sides are the service was not to quick and smoking is still allowed.
(3)Em J.
Rude Rude Rude! My 79 year old father called to ask if he needed reservations for dinner to celebrate my mother's birthday. The "lady" taking the call was rude and hung up on him. I used to like this place, but I won't return - EVER!
(1)Amy D.
The spring roll appitizers are great! Staff was nice, drinks were pretty good.
(4)Michael M.
Good food, reasonable prices and friendly service make this a winner. Steaks, salads, comfort food. And a popular bar.
(4)Susan G.
Great burger and chili place. The price is right. The food is tasty. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly. I would recommend it, especially for families.
(3)Jessica W.
I was very dissappointed with the quality of food here and the service. In their defense, we did have a very large group and it was later in the night, but the back room was VERY loud and it took over an hour for our food to come out. I really didn't see anyone's food at the table that looked very good. I had oysters, and the flavor and presentation was very nice, but they were not of the best quality. The perch tasted good, but not what I expected...I might go back to the bar, but won't visit this place for dinner again.
(2)Deborah B.
Cowboy Ribeye "to die for" and our waitress Amanda was awesome.
(5)David B.
Even as a post-thanksgiving meal, the chili delivers. I make a pilgrimage to Casey's one a year and always get the chili. It just hits the spot, especially when accompanied by Guinness. I cant speak fluently about anything else on the menu but damn, that chili is good.
(3)Todd M.
We ate here twice during our stay in New Buffalo. I guess that says something. Both times the service was good, though the wait was significantly longer then we were told, not a big deal except our 4 year old was getting hungry (read cranky). The food was pretty good, chicken sandwich was good and priced reasonable...the pasta was a bit expensive, but pretty good...portions were good, we had enough leftovers to have for lunch the next day.
(3)Jim P.
It's fine. It's a bar so the food is just that - fine. The chili was very good and another in our party said the clam chowder was also good. The panini is on a hamburger bun (not really pressed either). I didn't hate it but I'll try one of the many other nearby choices before going back here.
(2)Greg U.
Pleasantly surprised even though we were squeezing in a meal just before closing time on Labor Day. I had the Creole Combo whose tomato cream sauce was addicting and my wife had the spinach pasta, which was also excellent. The wait staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable.
(4)Bella V.
Great food. great prices, and superior service. We hung out at this little local restaurant/ pub for a couple of hours just whiling the day away. Had a few drinks, and some good conversation. The NY strip steak sandwich seems to be what they're famous for, but they have a very extensive menu that's worth taking a look at. Great times had by all.
(5)William N.
Like the food, the wait/bar staff are chatty and really friendly. Love the food and drinks too. The interior is a little scruffy and I actually don't care so much as long as the service and food are good, which they are. My only complaint is that I went in one night and the place was hazy, due to cigarette smoke. Note to Manager: Why don't you go smoke-free like the Red Arrow Roadhouse? Soe's (in Sawyer) food isn't quite as good as yours, but the interior is nicer and it's not smoky.
(4)Kristi S.
The food was great...Got the boom boom shrimp as an app, and it was delish, but spicy. I got the scallop pasta and my hubby got the seafood Alfredo. Both were top notch, but I actually did prefer the flavor of the Alfredo and I'm not an Alfredo fan. My only complaint is that the air conditioning was out, so it was extremely warm, as it was a very humid day! Our server was super friendly and helpful and very upbeat and even gave us suggestions for other local spots to dine. I would definitely go here again.
(4)Chuck W.
As I sit here at Stray Dog, we can say, whole heartedly, we will NOT patronize this establishment! Entering, we were invited to the "back bar" to experience the "twinkling lights"! Well, the only twinkle in the back bar was that of left over/drunk patrons and an EXTREMELY dismissive bar staff! Specifically, a brunette curly haired bartender that did not greet and/or meet my husband and I. We quickly left and are now sitting on the rooftop of Stray Dog! I highly recommend those reading this to heed the advise of others and MOVE ALONG! Good luck, curly haired, brunette, bartender! Season's ending soon!
(1)Tom M.
Since they changed owners, I'm still on the bubble about the menu. The last time we had dinner was for a Stanley Cup playoff game. I had the Italian Rib Melt and my wife had the Casey's burger. Both were good but I still like the Roasted Chicken on the old menu (but that's what the previous owners were noted for). We still make this a frequent stop when we're in town especially for drinks at the outdoor bar. Can't wait 'til the new one is done. We'll see you again soon.
(4)Buckeye D.
My husband and I spend quite a bit of time in New Buffalo and I love the ambience of Casey's. Great old school bar, live music on the weekend and often a local crowd. Recently they opened up a second bar in the back off of their beer garden. The 2nd bar has a nice feel as well and multiple tv's for sports. Food can be hit or miss. The flatbread needs work, the Boom Boom shrimp is good. My major issue with this place, and unfortunately it a long-standing one, is the service. I have never been to a place where there is less interest and/or enthusiasm to wait on you. The staff either ignores you, is completely indifferent or makes you wait so incredibly long that you have turned into a pile of bleached bones. It's sad really. I love this place. The Stray Dog is ridiculously touristy and over priced This place feels much more local. If I am the owner, I clean house with my staff and find some people who actually want to work.
(3)Odranre B.
average american restaurant located on the main tourist area of downtown new buffalo Michigan and walking distance to the beach...serving pretty good flatbreads (various types)...the seating inside is tight and limited...the outdoor backyard seating is good...friendly staff...the entrees are a bit on the expensive side, so i would recommend the burgers (especially the cowboy burger served with caramelized onions)...sorry but no cowgirls on the menu...
(3)Courtney H.
We stopped in Sunday night as the last stop on our Bachelorette party weekend. We knew we wanted to sit out back so we entered the restaurant and made our way out. The restaurant was pretty dead and smelled sort of weird. The bathrooms were very gross and someone in our group talked to a manager about cleaning them, but we did not check back to see if it was taken care of. Anyway, they were really accommodating for us on the patio..as soon as there was a big enough table we were seated and a waitress came over. We needed some more time to decide on drinks and then she never came back. We waited probably over 25 minutes and then flagged someone else down and asked them to send our waitress back. Service was decent but because she took so long between visits, our party ended up going to the bar themselves most of the time. Drinks were good, they were able to make a few things that we asked about. Separate tabs was a nice touch also. They played great music and had nice lights strung up all around the patio. It was probably one of our favorite stops and I would definitely go back.
(3)Lauri H.
The service was very friendly, the manager nice. Selection of drinks not extensive, but fine for our needs. The food was okay...tasty, but not absolutely delicious. We were there with a group of friends, so we had a good time and the food wasn't our main focus, it was all about the service and location, so we were happy.
(3)Reese H.
Went there last night hoping to have a fast dinner at the bar. Order buffalo wings. Wings were good but took over 30 minutes to receive them after ordering . Also only had one beer while there for over 45 mins. Bartender Kyle kept ignoring us, too busy filling in drink orders but kept walking past us and we couldn't get his attention to order another beer. Basically had wings and only one beer in over 45 minutes. Other Customers also complaining about service. We decided to go somewhere else for dinner and When we finally were able to ask for our check, we told him service was bad, but not his fault since he needed help behind the bar , he got mad at us and complain that he was filling in for someone and "basically accused us of treating him like shit" his words. Wow we were surprised since we were being honest when asked how everything was. Don't think we'll return .
(1)Mark D.
The people here are super nice, food was good. It's a solid bar food type restaurant that you can enjoy with your family. The mushroom ravioli was fabulous!I'd give it four stars, but I feel as if I've eaten at a ton of these types of places and paid less.
(3)Ian L.
Good drinks, all food is literally frozen and baked. Not pleased but still good atmosphere and service.
(3)Susan H.
Service was awful, despite being here mid-week. Getting another round of drinks took FOREVER even though our server frequented the table next to us; she never even looked our way. My boyfriend ordered a filet medium, it was brought out well done. When brought to our servers attention, she took the meat back, claiming the kitchen "wanted to see it". WHO DOES THAT?!?! ETA: although both of our meals were comped, we'd still never recommend this place. My boyfriend's second filet was cooked RARE (do they not know what MEDIUM means?) and he never received the beer he asked for TWICE. Our server offered a very half-hearted apology.
(1)Justin C.
20+ open tables. 2 hour wait? Maybe staffing and planning for a Saturday night would be a good idea. I don't expect to walk in and sit down anywhere good on sat night but come on. If any more tables were open and unused I'd think you were closed. We won't be returning.
(1)Tim D.
Was okay. $23 for a new york steak is a pretty decent price. Very tasty but cooked almost completely well when ordered medium rare. The mushrooms were so over cooked they were tasteless. Bread they served was bad. Dont think it was cooked enough. Service was fine, prices on par.
(2)Rebecca C.
We visit New Buffalo with our family and very young children about once a year. We always choose Casey's as out "go to" restaurant. We are always met by friendly staff. The managers and wait staff have always been VERY accommodating for our very young family (4 kids ages 6 and under). The food is usually good (although my side with my steak last visit wasn't very good). We will still come back because we are always treated very well when we visit!
(4)D W.
A bit too busy for me in the summer. Not as busy as Stray Dog. Nice people working there. Quite cordial. The burger, though a little overpriced, was actually quite good.
(3)Andrea M.
We ate there tonight. Salmon was delicious and perfectly prepared. Lake perch and pork chop were also yummy. Vegetables were fresh, still crisp and not overcooked. We had a fabulous waitress, Erin. It was very crowded as it is a weekend so it was conversation challenging. I have eaten here many times and had many good meals.
(4)Brooks M.
Like the atmosphere. Shrimp Alfredo is over prices. Fish tacos and burgers are good. Bathrooms are not clean.
(3)Bill L.
Ordered the butt steak. 40 minutes later, I got steak that tastes like butt. Sorry. Never again.
(2)Adrienne B.
So I was visiting New Buffalo and Casey's seemed liked the perfect place for dinner. We arrived with 8 people and right away they were able to accommodate us all with a perfect table out on the patio! We started with the chicken & Chorizo quesadillas! I highly recommend it! It's spicy and delicious! As for food the buffalo chicken salad, Caesar salad, pasta and mushroom raviolis were wonderful! The best part of the night was receiving a free bottle of wine on the house. We ordered the oyster bay but unfortunately they were out. So instead They brought us a different bottle on the house! Great service! Great patio! Great food! I highly recommend it!
(4)Chuck E.
The food and service were better than we expected at a bar and grill. The boom boom shrimp was very good and could have just eaten that. The sandwiches had a healthy amount of meat. They also have a decent wine list.
(4)Dustin S.
Telephoned to ask if they were showing the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight. They said yes. Showed up, ordered drinks, asked about the fight, and was told they weren't carrying it. Deceptive and dishonest.
(1)Monica F.
My husband and I were in town and since the Stray Dog was busy we decided to try Casey's. We were seated on the patio right away despite the busy atmosphere. Our hostess and waiter were very friendly. The service went downhill from there. My husband's burger came without the cheese so they took back his sandwich and I received part of my dinner. Twenty minutes later I had finished my partial meal and they still had yet to bring out my husband's burger. When we finally caught our waiter we explained that my husband's meal had never returned (just needed a slice of cheese added to his burger) and that I never received my fries...he apologized. Another fifteen minutes went by so I asked again about my husband's food and my fries. The waiter said he didn't realize I still wanted my fries. He finally brought out my husband's sandwich (dry and over done) and the sweet potato fries were cold. Our waiter offered to give us a discount and dessert on the house. The snickers pie wasn't worth it...we won't be going back.
(1)Matt F.
Absolutely positively the worst service and most lack luster food. The waiter was apologetic but didn't offer any solutions. Shame on management.
(1)Karen G.
Pleasant bar with a "supper club" vibe. I had the chocuate martini which was a little too sweet and one dimesional but drinkable. We had dessert here- we pcked the fruit tart and had them warm it up with some vavilla ice cream. It was quite good.
(3)Alejandra V.
The food is good enough, the service is slllooowwww. We went for my husband's birthday and we are from out of town. It was a Tuesday and we were promptly seated with a smile. Last smile of the night. The place never got packed, so we were unsure as to why our waitress was never around. The bus boy was more attentive than the waitress. I wish we could have tipped him instead. We were not told the specials, we had to ask. Our water glasses sat empty for a long while, so the bus boy filled them for us. In fact, we did a whole lot of staring at our empty plates and cps, from beginning to end. We were charged $6.00 to share our dinner. I have seen a split meal charge before, but we got no heads up from the waitress about the additional charge. I would appreciate not having secret charges when the check arrives.... It wasn't like we were trying to be being cheap. We had apps, wine, dinner and dessert. Rude. The cake was cold. Cold cake means refrigerated cake, which means not fresh cake. The food was okay but none of it was memorable. The back patio IS pretty cute and the food wasn't bad at all. Fortunately, the rest of our experiences were better than our Casey's experience in New Buffalo. We were first afraid that this was one of those small towns where nobody is very nice. We learned otherwise when we later ate at Stray Dog and Michigan Thyme. Everyone was muuucchhh nicer just about everywhere else in town. I won't go back the next time we have a getaway weekend out in Michigan.

Went here for lunch yesterday due to Stray Dog being very crowded. The atmosphere is very cramped. The table are literally on top of each and walking thru the place without tripping over the chairs is difficult. The place wasn't too busy at 2 PM, however the waitress seemed flustered and was rushing around to serve everyone. However, she was very polite and kept drinks refilled and was very courteous. I ordered a hamburger which wasn't bad. I ordered it a medium and it had some blood in it. It tasted great like it came off of a charcoal grill. It was a large hamburger, but not thick. It reminded me of the Bubba burgers you can buy at Sams Club for $30 for a box of 20. The way it was cooked though was very tasty. If you can get over the cramped atmosphere, it's not a bad place for $20 for two people with no liquor....especially in New Buffalo.

Had the best burger, well done perfectly cooked! They're the only place i can find a good pumpkin beer, i would recommend both too anyone! Our server Charlene was outstanding, great personality and even better service. I couldn't of asked for a better lunch with the guys!

We are in town with the in-laws for our "Casey Family vacation" and stopped here. I ordered the portobello wrap and the others who had hamburgers, crab burger, chicken fingers, and the bison meat loaf. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. For a party of 10 to be seated without calling ahead or having to wait it was great. Tried a coconut/almond Michigan brew which was great! As a bonus they gave us a discount for having the last name of Casey!

Very good food, Lake Perch, broasted chicken, duck, all delicious. Son had chicken tenders, he said they were the best he ever had. This place tends to get busy, so go on off times. My only suggestion is to water the container plants, they looked sad and I wanted to prune them.

Drove up for the day from Chicago, stopped for a "quick" bite to eat. We ordered chicken fingers and a cheese burger well done. Waited am hour for our food and when it came out the burger was rare. I was super disappointed after such a long wait. I will skip this place the next time we drive up.

"Meh" just about sums this place up. Unfortunately in New Buffalo there are so few places to eat that most roads lead to Casey's. The wait staff is nice and they got us our food and drink in a reasonable time, but the food is seriously lacking. Since when does a Pork Thai Stir-fry consist of wide noodles bathed in a cream sauce? It was bad and I was starving, so managed to eat most of it. My wife had bison meatloaf which was equally bland. I hate to say this, but it's worth waiting at the Stray Dog for better (that's not saying much) food.

Really a surprise. Nice room, a good "pour" and the food is a very pleasant surprise. When in town, put this stop on the short list for dinner!

Ate dinner at Casey's last night. Let me start off by saying the service was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!! Attentive waiter and very friendly. Ordered the fish and chips special and it was very good. Not greasy and light breading. Fries were a bit hard, but not awful. Me error else had a great meal as well. Overall, a very good place.

Similar experience to Devin T and. Howard T below... We were a party of 9, we called ahead, so only had to wait a half hour upon arrival. Once seated, it took almost 30 min to get waters and our initial drink order. We tried to order oysters, but they came back and said they were out. About 6 of us ordered clam chowder, and after 30 min after ordering they came back and said they were out. 90 min after ordering our main meal our entrees finally came. The food was just ok and refilling our drinks took a minimum 20-30 minutes between rounds. Then it took about 20 min for check out. Finally, upon signing our bill after 2.5 hours, the table next to us got clam chowder served to them. Never once did the waitress really apologize. Even another waitress stopped by a couple times, noticing our lack of food & drink, stating "you guys don't have drinks yet?!" and "are you still waiting for food?". She told the manager, but he never came over. The patio is nice with great ambience and live music. They really could improve their food and most importantly their service! We kept looking for the hidden cameras all night, thinking we were on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon Ramsey, please come save this restaurant!

Went here on a Friday night while in town for drink. Hubs and I had a great time. The bartenders were all friendly and accommodating. We never had to wait for a refill. It's always fun to meet local people while on vacation. We didn't eat but the food looked good.

Great location and space. Our waiter was friendly and seemed like he was trying to be helpful. However, our daughters' food came out before that for my wife and me - way before. Our kids were nearly finished when our food finally came out. Then, my wife's chicken sandwich wasn't cooked. That said, it's a nice space, my kids enjoyed their meals, my lunch was very good and, after a long wait, my wife's sandwich was good.

Food decent and reasonably priced. I had a sandwich that was good and what I expected. The Portobello mushroom wrap my husband ordered didn't really have any mushrooms to speak of, which disappointed him. Beer selection was satisfactory. The service is ridiculously slow, but it was pretty busy, so maybe it was just the timing of my visit.

Had dinner last evening with another couple. Service was inadequate, meal came before the soups and salads and were served all together. Were out of 2 menu items at 5 PM on a Saturday evening. The entree's were really well prepared and our entire party raved on the food. Our friends with order Key Lime Pie for dessert again they were out and had on in the "freezer" but was told it took too long to defrost. Gee put in the microwave thaw it out and serve the customer and for heaven's sake don't volunteer. The check's were mixed up with different entree's for both couples and had to be re-calculated. All in all good food poor service and attentiveness. We sat on the patior and there were many servers walking back and forth, but overall they need more organization. Still great food, good wine list and the company/fellowship was great.

Service was slow, food was at best ok, slightly more than warm and for the money not worth the visit. I'd keep walking if I were you.

Since when do you offer baked potato with a plastic packet of sour cream? This is just the tipping point of a place that has the potential to be great but slides by with typical, ordinary, un-everything (uncreative, undelicious, uninviting etc.) food. The service was better, but for an evening out with prices as high as they are, it is extremely disappointing to say the least.
